Vacation Part II - Charleston 7-9-07

On our way to Charleston (Mon) we went to Magnolia Plantation and just went through the gardens. It rained on & off the whole time we were there. We've gotten so use to getting rained on.

We stayed under a huge tree till it let up a little. Which took a while.

We stayed at the Andrew Pinckney Inn. It's a block from the Downtown Market. Was beautiful with a rooftop terrace where breakfast was served.

The Inn~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Our antenna topper had some moss caught on it from Savannah. Stayed on until our ride home from Myrtle Beach.

Hominy Grill, which was wonderful. Rachel Ray went here on $40 a day and a friend also recommended this restaurant. I had shrimp & Grits and Richard got the meal that Rachel Ray ordered, Sesame Crusted Catfish with Geechee Peanut Sauce and Sauteed Okra on cheese grits. And had pecan pie & there famous buttermilk pie for desert. Yum!

Well our time of nice hot weather was over. It was now and will be for the rest of the trip unbearably hot weather!!! Yuck!
On Tuesday we walked to the Market & then had lunch at Bubba Gump Shrimp. Here's Cailey with her meal in a boat. She really liked the boat thing!
We went to The Battery for a bit but it was so hot we were ready to get back in the car and Go to Myrtle Beach!




Alright, on to the Beach!!
