Smoky Mountain Vacation July 7th-11

This year for Vacation, we decided to skip the beach this year & head to the mountains. It had been since '05 since the 3 of us went. We headed out on Monday, July 17th for our adventure!

On the way we stopped in Athens, TN to tour the Mayfield Dairy Farm. The tour was free and if passing by, you should stop. Was really neat & we especially enjoyed the ice cream!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~No Milk's gonna come out of that cow!!
Tuesday morning we went to Cades Cove. We are off to the first cabin on the loop.
BEAR, Oh MY!!!! Richard was sooo excited to finally get to see a bear in the Smokies!! Unfortunately we couldn't get a good picture. The rangers were out making sure everyone kept moving so everyone could see the bear.
Wednesday we drove the Roaring Fork Motor Trail in Gatlinburg. Here's the Ogle Cabin and barn.
Cailey riding the rides at The Track in Pigeon Forge. She Loved it!!! This second picture, she had the same face as she did when she rode a pony for the first time last year. Cute!
Cailey met her a new friend riding the rides. Her name was Lizzae from Texas.
We also went to Dollywood Splash Country Thursday. Unfortunately right after we got there it started raining and would not stop! We were cold & misserable. After $120, and 1 and a half hours later we were outta there! I did buy a waterproof disposable camera and got some pictures.
We had a wonderful trip and still have a week of hanging out in town before Richard goes back to his regular work routine.
