September 15th, My 27th Birthday!

Well, I am now 27 years old. Do I feel older?...Yes, yes I do as a matter of fact. As Jennifer said, I am catching up to her. Does that make any sense? Nah, I didn't think so either. But I do stop from time to time and say, hey, I'm not that old. 27 isn't that bad. And I can here all of you laughing at me!!!!! =) Anyway, I had a great birthday. Richard had taken off the day before (thursday) and we took Cailey to mommy's day out, ate breakfast and went shopping. Then on Friday we went to the Birmingham zoo, ate lunch at New York Pizza in Homewood with a friend of ours, Daniel Johnson, and came home. Then my parents, my MawMaw and my sister, Kevin & Carson came to our house. We had Dinner at Fuji Japanese Steakhouse. Enjoyed some good Sushi then came home and had Pinnapple upside down cake. Good Stuff. And this week I'll hit the stores, after the bank of course, and do some shopping with my b-day money. =)
Here are some pictures from the zoo. I have some from Fuji, but everyone is eating in them and I doubt they'd want them posted for everyone to see.

Cailey didn't really like the Carousel. We started on the Giraffe, but then she wanted off that one and onto the cheetah. The ride got going and after a bit she was wanting off. And then I made my way onto the seat behind us. Good thing it was there!

The second photo is of the new baby giraffe, Rowan. It is so cute!
You can see it in the background of this next giraffe photo.

These photos were taken in the Lorakeet Aviary. There are so many in here flying right over your head and all around. A little weird, but cool. Richard was able to fool this one to think he had a little bowl of nector to feed him. The bird quickly flew off of his hand. And Richard kept asking me if he bird poop on him. Nope, no poo. Cailey would stick out her hand saying, "Come Here Birdie".

Rainy Day Play! - September 12th

We had a nice long rain on Tuesday. Started around lunch time and rained till late Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Loved it!! It's been forever since we've had a rain like that. Cailey especially enjoys playing with her umbrella in it. She would run up and down the driveway through the puddles. I got some cute pictures. Unfortunately, I had my camera on the wrong setting and some look so low quality. Darn!

I love the look that she has on this first picture. It's so cute!

Love it!

I like this last picture, how it looks like she's looking down at the ripples on the water.
Love rainy day play!

Crongratulations - New Baby!

Our Friend Brian Fife & His wife, Alex, had their little girl Saturday September 9th.
Her name is Cameran Alexandria Fife. Weiging 7lbs, 19" long.
We visited them at Gadsden Regional on Sunday.

Grandparents Day

Here are a few pictures from our Sunday visit.

Cailey driving Minnie around on the Deere

Cailey & her PaPa. She was enjoying pulling the leaves off of the tree.

September 8th - Photo Shoot

Me & Cailey ventured outside for a photo shoot to get some pictures for Grandparents Day. I had gotten a card that held a picture. The first picture was the winner with a good natural smile. The second picture she's saying cheese a little to hard!

This is the Ex-neighbors cat. They finally took it to their new home. But while they were gone it would come over when we were outside.
And here is Cailey, trying to blow the dandelien but she just got it all in her mouth instead.
But she finally blew all of the little thingys away. (Right now I don't know what they are actually called, seeds?) You know what I mean!

Like my new Hat?

Cailey has created a new fashion style! Wearing shorts as hats!

Boing, Boing Baby!

Labor Day

Cailey & Carson played so good together at PawPaw's & Nonna's house (my parents).
They have been known to totally not get along very well.
It was fun to see them play. I could tell what Cailey had learned at her Mommy's day out program. She had been singing a part of a song, but we could not figure out what it was until Cailey & Carson started playing together. They got out in the yard, held hands, and sang parts of "ring around the rosey" and they would "all fall down" a lot! That was their favorite part.
And of course they took turns on driving the tractor and riding in the wagon. I took some video on my camera of them doing the ring around the rosey. I will try to post that on here soon!

Cailey looks like she is doing push ups and carson looks like he is break dancing!
