Birmingham Botanical Gardens

We went to Birmingham, Friday the 18th, for something different.
We stopped at the Bontanical Gardens for a little bit. Didn't stay long since it was so hot, but we got a few pictures. Cailey loved feeding her cheese crackers to the turtles and fish in the Japanese gardens. We had lunch at PF Changes (Yum!).

Cailey's First Day at Mommy's Day Out

Cailey is now going to a Mommy's Day Out once a week at the Preschool that is now opened at our Church called Kidz Alive. Her first day was Aug 17th. Of course I had to take some pictures of her before we left with her new Tinker Bell lunch box and Nikes.
A side note on the lunch box. I made a special trip to Douglasville, GA to the closest Disney store to get this for her on the 15th! I had seen it at the Gallaria a few weeks before when we went to get her ears checked and said to myself "I wish I had a reason to buy one of those". They were only $9.50. And when it dawned on me after school Orientation that she would need one I had to go get one! And I'm glad I did!!
She had a great day at preschool and she even napped with the other kids on her new Leopard print & pink nap mat! She said she had fun!

I wanna be like Aunt Monica!

Cailey had her first Dentist appointment on Monday, the 14th. She went back with the dental assistant all by herself to have her teeth cleaned. Dr. Norby said she did soo good, much better than most 2 year olds. After her cleaning, she came out with a red balloon and a bag of goodies. A New toothbrush and a Dora Tattoo to name a few.
After applying her temporary tatoo (However it's been almost a week and it's still there!)
She pointed at it and said, "Aunt Monca" (Monica)!! No, not really! =)

WE'RE ALL NUTS!!!!

One night before bedtime we were all playing in cailey's bedroom in the floor. This was the same night of the "vintage" pictures and richard started taking some of Cailey & him in the floor and I joined in. They remind me of pictures taken from those photo booths you see in amusement parks & malls.

Vintage Cailey

Cailey is all vintage in these photos. She loves to try on dresses, especially this one since she discovered it hanging in her closet. This dress is another of my dresses when I was little. She likes wearing it. And the doll is the same one from a previous post (Naptime). The doll had a slight accident. It use to have red yarn hair, but Cailey tried brushing it and it came off. I haven't sewed it back on yet. Oh, this babies name is Conan Baby. You know, Conan O'Brian from Late night TV. The Red hair. (You'll have to refer to the previous posts with Pictures of him with hair.) Richard & Andrew started calling the doll this and it has stuck. It is soo cute hearing cailey call him Conan baby.
She just had a bath and her hair was brushed but it air dries some kind of Crazy!

Hey Look, Big girl Panties!

Cailey is sporting her new Little Mermaid Big Girl Panties for Everyone! She loves them and they are helping with Potty Training. She's getting closer!!

Summer Pleasures

Nothing beats ice cream cones, ice cold rootbeer & some cheese nips in the summer. Of course not all at the same time. However a rootbeer float sounds really good!!

Last Friday me & Cailey went to my friend Erica's house. She has a little girl, Abby, who is almost 3. They had fun playing together.
