Vacation Part I - Savannah 7-7-07

Richard's Vacation started on the 7th. (However the 6th was a work mandatory Pool Party. So that wasn't too bad! ;)
Saturday, the 7th we left for Savannah GA for 2 nights. The first stop on our way to Myrtle Beach. I'll be posting them in sections: Savannah, Charelston & Myrtle Beach.
The pictures are just a small portion of how many we actually took!

The whole drive to Savannah, Cailey constantly asked to see the water! So after we stopped at our Inn and Cailey took a nap we went to Tybee Island.

There was a storm blowing in. Too bad we didn't make it to the car before it hit. We were totally drenched!! These were the last few pictures we got while we were dry!!

After going back to the room and getting dried off we went to Uncle Bubba's Oyster House. This is Paula Deans Brother. This was the best meal of the trip!! Was delicious! Normally you can see the marsh outside the windows, but a few weeks prior TV Network had redecorated for Paula's Party. This is where they are filmed.

After dinner we walked down River Street.

Cailey waiting on me while I fixed her breakfast at the Inn. You can tell she just woke up. We stayed at The Staybridge Inn (pictured above). It's on Bay St across from Emmit park (below). It's so conveniently located. You just walk across the street and down the steps and you are at River Street.

Down the steps to River Street.

I love this picture! ~~~Big Boat!!
We got on a Trolley and toured the Historic district. The best way to travel. We were able to get off and on the trolley as we like.

This is the house from "Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil".

Taking a ride ~~~~~~~~~~~~The Pirate House

Need I say more?? We did not eat here. It was Sunday and they just have the buffet, which you could see through the windows. Didn't look worth the $18 ea.

At Forsyth Park

The Old Harbor Light.

Another trip to River Street.

Going across the bridge on our way to Charleston. A look back at Savannah & River Street.
We had a great time & really loved Savannah. Especially the Trees!!
Savannah is said to be the most Haunted city in the US. And FYI the most haunted house in savannah is for sale!! =)

Next...Charleston, SC.

4th of July 2007

4th of July. Had a cookout at my parents house & went swimming which was just what we needed. It was fun watching Cailey and Carson trying so hard to swim. Cailey still isn't fond of water getting in her face.
Went to Richard's parents for dinner. Great day.

At Trent & Vicki's house. Here's Cailey playing with MaMaMa & Aunt Loise.

Father's Day - June 17th

Richard had a good Father's Day. I gave him an album that I scrapbooked for him. Click here to to see pictures of it.
After Church we drove to Gadsden to Richard's parents. We were planning on eating dinner at the new Fish Market, but they were closed. Bummer! So we ate dinner at Chili's. Which was a total let down. This was our 2nd or 3rd time to eat here and we had the worst waiter and the food was just so-so. But I got this snapshot of Richard, Cailey & Trent behind Chili's at the fountain. Afterward we went to my parents house after my dad got off of work.

June 11th - Pre Bedtime play

Before bedtime Cailey likes to jump on the bed and on this particular night Richard taught her how to do a somersault.

Jumping and then settling down to read before night-night. Reading Frog & Toad that Andrew gave her for her 3rd Birthday. She loves them and they are really an enjoyable read for all of us.

New Baby

My friend Erica had a little girl on June 10th. Her name is Kenadie, she weighed 4lbs 14oz & 17" long. Me & Cailey visited them on the 13th. What a cutie!

June 10th at Nonna & PawPaws

We had a small cookout at my parents house Sunday, June 10th for Father's Day since dad was working on the 17th. After dinner Dad turned on the sprinklers in the backyard to let Cailey & Carson run through them. Cailey didn't want to get wet, she doesn't like water getting in her face. However, Carson had no problem with the idea. And of course this wasn't his first time in the sprinklers. The first picture, without a doubt, priceless! =)

June 4th - Cailey Turned 3!!

Monday, June 4th. Cailey's 3rd Birthday! I can't believe she is 3. Richard was off at work so me & Cailey spent the day playing with her new toys and wearing some new play clothes.

Riding, listening to some tunes, just ran into the fence. Still trying to get the hang of that steering thing.

Cailey & Mommy right before going to eat birthday dinner at her favorite restaurant

Daddy & Cailey

Eating Dinner at Los Mex. Her new found favorite, cheese dip!! Cailey was a little weirded out by the big hat. I had to hold it above her head cause it was too heavy for her.

She's checking out the people singing to her. ~~~~She has the weirdest blowing the candle out face.

She stuck her finger in the ice cream and ate a little, but didn't want any of the rest! She totally missed out! I'm sure the waitress was thinking "those fat people just ate that little girls dessert!" haha, seriously. =)
